Privacy Policy

MyIman ("we", "us", "the app") helps you track your daily prayers, receive prayer-time notifications, find the Qibla direction, and optionally lock distracting apps during prayer times. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (only if you choose to share it) and an email address, which may be an Apple private-relay address. You can also use MyIman without an account (anonymous mode), in which case no name or email is collected.
• Location. With your permission, we access your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your coordinates and timezone are stored on your profile. You can disable location access in your device settings.
• Prayer activity. The prayers you mark as completed and their dates (your prayer log).
• Preferences. Settings such as calculation method, madhab, which prayers you enable, and your App Lock preferences.
• Notification token. A push notification token so we can deliver prayer-time notifications to your device.
• Subscription status. Whether you have an active premium subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment card details.
• App Lock selections. If you enable App Lock, the specific apps you choose to lock are managed by Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls and stored only on your device. This selection is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

How we use your information

• Calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction for your location.
• Send you prayer-time and reminder notifications.
• Save your prayer log, streak, and settings so they're available across sessions.
• Provide and manage premium features (including App Lock).
• Maintain reliability and prevent abuse of the service.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication (stores your profile, prayer log, settings, push token, and location).
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Expo & Apple Push Notification service — delivering notifications.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, and Screen Time / Family Controls.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children

MyIman is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
